ASB -Solidar
Arbeiter – Samariter -Bund e.V. (Workers’ Samaritan Federation) is a German NGO that was founded in 1888. ASB is one of the largest NGOs in Germany with over a million members. With over 15,000 full time employees, 11,000 honorary employees and over 5,000 employees in community service. They are playing a pivotal role in Sri Lanka actively taking part in many challenging humanitarian projects. Post tsunami programmes, tsunami educational programmes, clearing mines providing shelter latrine construction and hygiene information are a few of the projects they have been doing in Sri Lanka.
When we were called upon to design and lay out their quarterly magazine Solidar news it was a challenging task ahead for our team .The final result was a clear cut well documented and informative magazine of fifty pages which captured the imagination of the reader. ASB has not looked back since our first publication.
