Arbeiter – Samariter -Bund e.V. (Workers’ Samaritan Federation) is a German NGO, one of the largest in Germany with over a million members. They are playing a pivotal role in Sri Lanka actively taking part in many challenging humanitarian projects. Post tsunami programs, tsunami educational programs, clearing mines providing shelter latrine construction and hygiene information are a few of the projects they have been doing in Sri Lanka.
The Objective
To design and layout the quarterly publication of ASB giving details of activities conducted by the large network of NGO’s in Sri Lanka. The publication has to be attractive, organized and meet international standards of design.
The Challenge
As this is a content heavy publication, planning and layouts are key to designing the book. The cover has to attract attention and varied page layouts and graphs need to be developed to achieve the objectives. The content did come in stages and therefore the layout needed to be amended to incorporate the newer content.
The Solution
Infinite Media designed the quarterly publication of 52 pages which was circulated among all Sri Lankan NGO’s, international donors, embassies and governmental organizations. It was designed to capture their attention as well as gain insight and engross the reader to continue reading the publication.
